Plus in that same photo GG's shoe is missing, which might be the error. 
But that makes me less inclined to believe that the photo is reversed,
because it's his right shoe that's off, and that's the one he'd be more
likely to play the piano without (for "more tactile immediacy with the
damper pedal" as he might say it).  Maybe between the photos on p. 2 and 3
they turned the entire chair and GG around and reposed him similarly, and
made sure his hair was equally unkempt either way.  Either he recrossed
his legs the other way, or one of the two photos is reversed. 

But my first guess is still the soundsheet problem.
