GG: an episode from the Nagano Olympics

This is a very marginal post, 
but I hope you will find a little thing to do with GG.

On February 2, in the Nagano Olympics, 
at the women's hockey game of Canada vs. Japan,
there appeared a banner in the spectators' seats:

  CAN'T
  BEAT
  CANADA

The administration committee found it a violation
against a rule, and had the "C" of the first line sealed.

Do you know why?  Guess!!
