Is Ottawa reachable by subway from Toronto.  Um, well,
you know, if there was a tunnel that could hold up a
train going 100 km/hour you'd have about a 6 or 7 hour
ride from downtown Toronto.  However, all is not lost:
you can take a regular train there or a bus, all
downtown, all take you right into Ottawa.

Gould's piano at Roy Thompson Hall has been played in
concert by Angela Hewitt on at least one occassion (I
think it was a marathon Book 1 & 2 of the Well
Tempered Klavier or something like this.  I heard it
on CBC a while back.  It is either the reverance for
Gould or the instructions of his estate that would
make the access to his Yamaha so restricted, or so it
would seem to me.
