When I used to work for Procol Harum, we did a concert in Rekjavik so I spent
@ a week in the midnight sun with the locals doing prep work. About the same
time Procol finally arrived, Andre Previn and Mia Farrow (sans baby) also
turned up for an LSO concert the next day. Even spent time on Westman Island
which the year previously had blown its top and covered the town with 2
stories of lava. Very moon like. Very weird when the ground is warmer than
the air by @ 20 degrees. It was all very, very Gouldian, although I wouldn't
have known what that meant at the time. (1974)
