guillou's goldberg's on organ

Hi guys,

I know this is a bit off-topic again, but I just found the following while
browsing around Tower records online.
Has anyone heard this recording? It's the first I've heard of the
Goldbergs being recorded on an organ. Sounds like a project Gould would
have liked.

Bach: The Goldberg Variations / Jean Guillou
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

Catalog#: DOR 90110
Label: Dorian
Dist: Allegro
Spars: DDD
Release Date: 1/1/88

And here's another question for any harpsichord specialist out there. Just
what did Gould have done to his harpsichord to get it to sound so awful on
his recording of the Handel Suites? I've never heard a harpsichord sound
anything like that; it's so 'rubbery' at times.

And one last comment, I can only imagine that the Leonhardt English Suites
recorded for SEON observe all the repeats, unlike the recording that Bradley
earlier mentioned, because the discs are 68 and 76 minutes long.
Thanks for the links to the Wild Boar.

Bye,

Jim
